Meeting between Verum Law Firm and Japan Capital: New Horizons for Uzbek–Japanese Investment Partnership

Amid Uzbekistan’s deepening economic liberalization and growing openness to investment, Verum Law Firm held a working meeting with representatives of the Japanese investment company Japan Capital. This meeting marked an important step toward building a sustainable business dialogue between Japanese investors and Uzbek legal advisors.

Representing Verum were Jakhongir Mutalibov, Mohinur Kambarova, and Shokhjakhon Shomurodov—attorneys with many years of experience in supporting foreign investments, commercial transactions, and legal analysis in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The parties discussed practical aspects of Japanese market entry into Uzbekistan, legal mechanisms for capital protection, and possible joint venture formats. Special attention was given to long-term cooperation prospects, including sports and cultural infrastructure projects proposed by Uzbek entrepreneur Dilshod Zufarov within the framework of the ECOTHLON initiative.
