Strategic Analysis of the Development of Uzbekistan to Be Conducted on a Continuous Basis
A Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Measures for the Effective Organization of Strategic Analysis and Research Activities in the Areas of Social, Political, and Economic Development of the Country" (PP-467 from December 31, 2024) has been adopted.
According to the Decree, a Coordination Council has been established to organize the activities of analytical and research structures.
One of the main tasks of the Coordination Council is to regularly present long-term strategic analytical documents to the President concerning the social, political, and economic development of the country, as well as proposals related to internal and foreign policies.
The Coordination Council is a consultative body responsible for organizing and coordinating strategic research on the processes of domestic and foreign policies, as well as overseeing all stages of their implementation.
Overall leadership of the Coordination Council’s activities, ensuring coordination and interdepartmental interaction, is entrusted to the Advisor to the President for Special Assignments.
Within the structure of the Coordination Council, working groups are established, responsible for the following areas:
· Security and Social Stability
· Public and State Construction
· Socio-Economic Development
· Foreign Policy and International Cooperation
· Strategic Planning and Regional Development
· Environmental Agenda, including issues related to climate change and water scarcity
