Procedure for the Rational Use of Agricultural Land Defined
The Government Resolution (No. 914 from December 30, 2024) has approved the "Procedure for the Rational Use of Agricultural Land."
This procedure establishes the rules for the rational use of agricultural land (including pastures).
The document includes:
· Rational use of agricultural land by preserving and enhancing soil fertility, organizing crop rotation considering water supply sources;
· Rational use of pastures by preserving and enhancing their fertility, as well as organizing pasture rotation considering water supply sources;
· Evaluation of the state of rational use of agricultural land and preparation of conclusions based on the results.
The rational use of pastures includes the following activities:
· Use of pastures considering pasture rotation and water supply sources;
· Establishment of permissible load norms on pastures for livestock grazing, ensuring pasture rotation, and compliance with the permissible usage norms of the common pasture space according to the Regulation on the Procedure for Pasture Rotation;
· Use of pastures according to the pasture rotation plan;
· Activities to prevent pastures from falling out of agricultural use, including preventing their overgrowth with weeds, bushes, and contamination with household and industrial waste.
